Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Executive Territory Manager – Mako & Enabling Technologies in New Zealand to own a strategic orthopaedic robotics portfolio across the country. You will drive adoption of the Mako SmartRobotics system, lead complex sales cycles, and partner with hospitals to deliver data-driven outcomes and sustained growth.

Qualifications

• Proven success in medical sales with a track record of exceeding targets in complex or capital environments (5–7+ years).
• Demonstrated ability to lead sophisticated sales processes and influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences.
• Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and the ability to analyse and act on market insights.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the NZ healthcare system and medical sales landscape.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a high-impact, strategic territory plan to exceed revenue and growth targets.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including capital equipment procurement and long‑term partnership agreements.
• Identify, prioritise, and convert new business opportunities to expand market share and drive sustained growth.
• Build and influence senior relationships with surgeons, nurses, theatre managers, biomedical engineers, procurement teams and hospital C‑Suite.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, positioning Stryker as a long‑term partner in robotic surgery transformation.
• Partner cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, adoption, and ongoing customer success.
• Deliver advanced product demonstrations, education programs, and clinical training to support utilisation and outcomes.
• Provide expert‑level post‑sale support, ensuring high engagement, utilisation, and customer satisfaction.
