Job summary

Fonterra Studholme site is seeking a Process Operator to set up, check and run automated production machinery on a rotating roster, in a fast-paced dairy processing environment.

You will perform quality checks to ensure production meets world-class standards, run production processes and machine diagnostics, and maintain accurate documentation while following health, safety and quality procedures. This hands-on role offers development opportunities within a global co-operative.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and running automated production machinery.
• Quality checks and CCP monitoring.
• Ability to follow health, safety and quality procedures.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Forklift with F endorsement is helpful but not essential.

We’re currently seeking motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Process Operator at our Studholme site. Working on a rostered shift pattern you will be aligned to one of our processing plants in either the control room or on the factory floor with your key responsibilities being:

• Setting up, checking and running automated production machinery safely and efficiently
• Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world class standards
• Running production processes and machine diagnostics to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensuring documentation is correct and complete
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and ensure all health, safety and quality procedures are followed at all times

These roles are a fantastic opportunity if you are serious about advancing your career and gaining hands on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment with the support of a highly motivated and engaged work whanau.

These positions offer fantastic work-life balance, working a rotating rostered shift pattern of 2 x 12-hour day shifts, 2 x 12-hour nights shifts, followed by 4 rostered days off.

Your strong mechanical aptitude, planning and sound problem-solving skills will ensure things run smoothly - you won’t just find the problem, you'll be part of finding and implementing the solution.

Together with a good work ethic and a strong focus on health and safety, you’ll be physically fit and able to show a background of:

• Participating as a team player with a positive attitude
• Quality control and CCP monitoring
• Strong attention to details and the ability to follow instructions
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet
• Operating touch screen machinery
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable
• Operating a Forklift with a current F and OSH would be helpful, but not essential
