Job summary

AIG Insurance New Zealand Limited in Auckland is seeking an Operations Underwriting Support Associate to back underwriters across the policy lifecycle, from quotation through issuance. The role reports to the New Zealand Operations Lead and aims to unlock potential in colleagues, enabling them to grow as insurance professionals and to add value for customers and AIG.

You will work with multiple profit centres and internal teams, act as SME for the lifecycle, handle client inquiries, support

Qualifications

• Underwriting associate experience in general insurance
• Exposure to commercial lines products is advantageous
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal
• Ability to anticipate client needs and act proactively
• Solid MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple issues with customer-centric delivery
• Strong stakeholder management abilities
• Solid relationship management skills

Responsibilities

• Support quotation, bind and issuance processes across the policy lifecycle
• Serve as onshore SME to support the policy lifecycle
• Interface with external customers to chase closings and queries
• Collaborate with internal collections to follow up on unallocated cash
• Ensure adherence to governance, policies and guidelines
• Participate in audits, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises
