Job summary

American International Group in Auckland seeks an Underwriting Associate to support the policy lifecycle across commercial lines. You will partner with onshore underwriters and internal teams to ensure timely quotations, bind and issuance, while developing expertise in risk assessment and client service.

Qualifications

• Experience as an underwriting associate in general insurance.
• Exposure to commercial lines products is a plus.
• Ability to anticipate client needs and act proactively.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to manage multiple issues to meet customer expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Collaborative approach across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support quotation, bind and issuance processes across the policy lifecycle.
• Act as SME to support the policy lifecycle onshore.
• Interact with external customers for closings and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers.
• Adhere to governance, policies and guidelines; participate in audits and continuity exercises.
