Job summary

Aorangi Debt Collection, a Christchurch-based firm, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and support the owners. The role offers hands-on leadership, strong governance, and scope to shape the business as it grows in New Zealand and Australia.

You will manage staff, streamline financial processes, and drive system improvements while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong administration and operational management experience.
• Proven staff management and leadership skills.
• Strong financial administration and reconciliation experience.
• Ability to manage civil legal processes and related matters.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and confidence using technology.
• Strong communication, organisation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions and manage competing priorities.
• Experience in credit management, debt recovery or financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the business.
• Lead and support staff across the Christchurch team.
• Undertake administration and financial processes.
• Manage reconciliations, month-end processes, invoicing and reporting.
• Support client communication and relationships.
• Improve systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Address operational issues and ensure smooth running.
