Job summary

Archway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Support Manager in Auckland to oversee finance, operations and admin for a growing professional services firm. You will partner with Directors, manage bookkeeping, month-end, and performance reporting, while leading the admin and finance support team.

You will drive robust financial controls, implement efficient processes, and foster a positive workplace culture to support growth and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Support/Operations Manager in professional services.
• Experience managing finances of a project-based firm.
• Experience with Xero or MYOB.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow monitoring and payroll oversight
• Preparing month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting and financial analysis for Directors
• Monitoring project performance, timesheets, work-in-progress and invoicing activities
• Acting as the internal subject matter expert for financial systems and processes
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes
• Leading office administration, facilities management and business support functions
• Managing HR administration, recruitment coordination and employee onboarding
• Leading and mentoring the administration and finance support team
• Preparing Board and management meeting packs, agendas and minutes
• Managing relationships with external suppliers, insurers, IT providers and professional advisers
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and business efficiencies
• Supporting the organisation's health and safety, culture and employee engagement initiatives
