Job summary

Ritchies Transport is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Oamaru depot and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, efficient transport services for the community. You will manage rostering and scheduling, supervise depot staff, and drive continuous improvement to meet service targets.

You will champion health and safety, build strong relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders, and bring a proactive, results‑driven leadership style to a diverse operations

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or staff supervision experience.
• Strong rostering, scheduling, or operational planning experience.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Good commercial and business awareness.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach.
• Genuine commitment to health and safety.
• NZ Class 2 and/or Class 4 licence preferred.

Lead Operations in a Role That Keeps Communities Moving

Ritchies is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Oamaru depot. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the day-to-day operation, ensuring our services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our customers expect.

Our Oamaru depot operates a diverse range of services, including School routes, Urban and Tour operations, making this an exciting opportunity for a capable leader who enjoys variety and responsibility.

About the Role
