Ritchies Transport Holdings Ltd. in Auckland seeks an Operations Manager for our Albany Depot to lead daily operations, roster staff, and ensure safe, reliable transport services that keep communities moving.

You will manage a 235-strong team across driving, cleaning and yard functions, oversee a fleet of 180+ vehicles, drive health and safety initiatives, and partner with the People Team on recruitment and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily depot operations including rostering, bus dispatch, and compliance.
• Lead 235 staff across driving, cleaning, and yard functions.
• Manage a fleet of 180+ vehicles and ensure readiness and efficiency.
• Drive Health, Safety & Wellbeing initiatives and report incidents.
• Recruit and onboard drivers with the People Team.
• Monitor performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver service excellence.
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly.

About the role

• Oversee daily depot operations including rostering, bus dispatch, and compliance

• Manage a fleet of 180 plus vehicles, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency
• Drive Health, Safety & Wellbeing initiatives and ensure all incidents are managed and reported promptly
• Manage recruitment and onboarding of drivers in partnership with the People Team
• Monitor performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver service excellence
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely manner
