Job summary

Ritchies is seeking a proactive Control Centre Supervisor to join our Auckland operations, overseeing live bus services from a central control room and guiding on-road delivery to ensure safety, reliability and customer satisfaction. In this fast-paced role you’ll manage incidents, coordinate with depots and drivers, maintain timetable integrity and generate KPI reports.

Ritchies is one of New Zealand’s leading public transport providers, playing a critical role in keeping communities connected. We’re looking for a proactive and resilient Control Centre Supervisor to join our operations team and help ensure safe, reliable, and customer-focused service delivery across our network.

This is a fast-paced, real-time operations role where your decisions directly impact service performance, safety, and customer experience.

About the role

As a Control Centre Supervisor, you’ll oversee live bus operations from a central control environment. You’ll manage on-road service delivery, respond to incidents, support drivers and depots, and ensure operational KPIs and safety standards are consistently met.

You’ll work closely with Depot Supervisors, drivers, and external partners to keep services moving—especially when things don’t go to plan.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor live bus services and make real-time decisions to manage disruptions, delays, and breakdowns
• Coordinate bus movements and communicate clear instructions to drivers and depot teams
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with a people and safety first approach, escalating where required
• Ensure all incidents, near misses, and accidents are accurately recorded and resolved
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Maintain timetable integrity and update operational systems in real time
• Document service impacts, driver performance issues, and operational disruptions
• Produce operational reports to support KPI tracking and investigations
• Respond to driver and customer queries and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
