Wanaka Physiotherapy – Queenstown, South Island
As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Practice Owner and hold full responsibility for the efficient, compliant, and people-centred operations of the clinic. You will lead our reception team and collaborate closely with our Finance Manager to ensure seamless business continuity. This is a multi-faceted position perfect for an organised professional who thrives on balancing team leadership, everyday practice logistics, and end-to-end HR management.
Supervise, mentor, and roster our reception staff while fostering a positive clinic culture
Oversee full end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, variations, leave administration, and compliance with NZ employment legislation
Maintain high front-of-house standards, manage stock procurement, and optimise operational systems
Manage, administer, and monitor external clinic contracts to ensure strict compliance
Manage hazard risks and execute bi-monthly health and safety compliance audits
Ensure strict adherence to the Privacy Act 2020 and coordinate ACC accreditation audit requirements
Oversee the practice website, social media content, and community activities
Proven experience in operations management, practice management, or a multi-function leadership role
Strong practical background in HR administration and NZ employment law, contract variations and staff relations
Outstanding communication skills paired with a calm, fair, and highly professional demeanour
High discretion and a commitment to patient and employee privacy
Previous experience in a healthcare environment or knowledge of ACC processes is highly desirable but not required
