Job summary

Tranzit Group Ltd is seeking a practical, hands-on Operations Coordinator to support our Wellington team in Grenada Village, New Zealand. The role covers school, charter, tour and cruise services and requires a versatile, proactive individual who can build strong relationships with drivers and customers while coordinating fleet operations.

The successful candidate will manage servicing, maintenance, vehicle readiness, bookings and driver compliance, with after-hours support on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, fleet, administration or customer service.
• Willingness to upskill with licence classes and endorsements.
• Experience in transport or passenger services is preferred.
• Good communication with drivers, customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and support the wider team.

• Keep vehicles service-ready by following up repairs with drivers and suppliers.

Tranzit is an award-winning transport and tourism provider operating throughout NZ.

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Operations Coordinator to support our Tranzit Coachlines Wellington team.

Our busy operation covers school, charter, tour and cruise services, so we need someone who can think on their feet and keep things moving.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can build strong relationships with drivers and customers, and is confident supporting fleet coordination, servicing and maintenance in a fast-paced operation. Work hours can vary, with after-hours support required when needed.

The role:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and provide support to the wider team,
• Manage fleet coordination, including servicing, maintenance, defects and presentation standards,
• Keep vehicles service-ready by following up repairs and working closely with drivers and suppliers,
• Support bookings, quotes, driver compliance, onboarding and general administration,
• Assist with incidents, investigations, complaints and service issues,
• Provide after-hours support on a rotational roster.

About you:

• Hold a Class 2 or Class 4 licence, or be willing to upskill with our support,
• Be willing and confident to drive when required,
• Willingness to obtain your P endorsement (we can support you with this)
• Bring experience in operations, fleet, administration or customer service, ideally in transport or passenger services,
• Communicate well with drivers, customers, suppliers and internal teams,
• Be organised, proactive and able to juggle priorities,
• Be confident using systems, with Excel skills a bonus,
• Have a positive, team-focused attitude.
