Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is seeking a certificated Geography teacher to deliver engaging Geography to Years 9-13 through live virtual classrooms. Join a pioneering, tuition-free online high school serving students across Aotearoa with a flexible, wellbeing-focused model.

This fully remote role requires NZ teaching registration and a strong grasp of NCEA Levels 2-3, alongside IGCSE experience. You will design personalised learning, build relationships with students and parents, and collaborate

We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

The opportunity

Teach engaging Geography through live virtual classrooms to Years 9-13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do

• Design personalised learning experiences
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning

What we're looking for

• NZ Teaching Registration
• Teaching qualification and subject expertise
• Strong knowledge of NCEA curriculum (Levels 2-3)
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology
• IGCSE teaching experience
• Online or blended learning experience
• Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms
