Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school offering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3. We seek a certificated Geography teacher to work fully remotely with Years 9–13 students across Aotearoa, delivering engaging, differentiated instruction.

You will design learning experiences, build connections in a virtual setting, and collaborate with a calibre of educators to support wellbeing and academic excellence.

Qualifications

• NZ Teaching Registration is required.
• Teaching qualification and geography subject expertise.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA Levels 2-3.
• Excellent communication and comfort with digital tech.
• IGCSE teaching experience.
• Online or blended learning experience.
• Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms.

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, pioneering accessible, world-class education for students in Years 9–13 across all of Aotearoa. We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

The opportunity

Teach engaging Geography through live virtual classrooms to Years 9–13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do

• Design personalised learning experiences
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment

• Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning
