Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, is seeking a Certificated Social Sciences teacher to deliver engaging content for Years 9–13 remotely from anywhere in Aotearoa.

You will design personalised learning, assess progress, collaborate with a high-calibre education team, and report to parents while utilising digital platforms and AI tools to support wellbeing and excellence.

Qualifications

• New Zealand teaching registration is required.
• Teaching qualification and subject expertise in Social Sciences.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA Levels 2–3.
• Excellent communication and comfort with digital technology.
• IGCSE teaching experience is preferred.
• Online or blended learning experience.
• Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms.

Aotearoa Infinite Academyis New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, pioneering accessible, world-class education for students in Years 9 to 13 across all of Aotearoa. We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

Teach engaging history through live virtual classrooms to Years 9 to 13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2 to 3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.
