Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our textile manufacturing client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on improving quality and efficiency of production processes, with responsibilities spanning analysis, quality systems, waste reduction, and lean implementation.

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, solid manufacturing experience, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and SPC.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial engineering in manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and statistical process control (SPC).
Proficiency in lean principles and problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing production processes to identify opportunities for improving quality and efficiency.
Implement and refine quality control systems on the production floor.
Develop strategies to reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.
Utilize lean tools to streamline workflows and remove non-value-added activities.
Conduct time and motion studies to establish performance standards and ergonomic improvements.
Collaborate with supervisors and line workers to implement process changes.
Collect and analyze production data to monitor trends and root causes.
Develop process documentation and training material.
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout manufacturing.
