Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer II to join our client’s on-site team in Queenstown, NZ, focusing on improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs. You will analyze systems, design improvements, and collaborate with production staff and management to achieve operational excellence while maintaining quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in industrial engineering, knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, and proficiency with CAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years in an industrial engineering role, ideally in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of process optimization, lean principles, and statistics.
- Familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work in and communicate with a team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production data and processes to identify bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement lean and Six Sigma improvements.
- Conduct time and motion studies to set standard times.
- Assist in facility layout and equipment optimization.
- Support new technology implementations in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with QA to reduce defects and ensure quality.
