Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer for our client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on developing and maintaining QA systems to meet ISO 9001 and customer specs, with hands-on quality control in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will drive CAPA, perform audits, analyze data for root causes, and train staff, contributing to continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in an industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and tools (SPC, FMEA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with QA testing equipment and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA policies and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and audits of products and processes to ensure compliance.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and non-conformance.
• Implement CAPA to address quality issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related problems.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation related to quality control, including test results and inspection reports.
• Train production staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Participate in supplier quality assessments and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.
