Job summary

NZ Post is seeking On Call Processing Officers at the Whangarei Operations Centre. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels for courier delivery, stepping in as needed to cover illness or peak periods.

Applicants must be available for on-call shifts with AM/PM times. Lifting up to 25 kg and strong attention to detail are required, with a night shift allowance during eligible hours.

• Good geographical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Whangarei Operations Centre.
• Support couriers with timely deliveries during peak periods.

On Call - work as and when required * Location : Union East Street, Whangarei Operations Centre * $26.75 per hour + night shift allowance ($3.21 per hour between 8pm and 6am) Ever wondered about the magic behind parcel delivery? On Call employees are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required. You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to balance work and lifestyle!

What we need from you :

• * Be available to work on call hours, as and when required
• * Shift Times - AM : 23 : 00-7 : 30 OR PM : 10 : 30-19 : 00
• * Flexibility to start earlier or finish later when required during peak times
• * Reliable transport to get to work on time
• * Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• * Energy for a physically demanding role – can you lift up to 25kgs?
• * An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge
