Job summary

New Zealand Post Group is seeking a Processing Officer to join the Strathallan Street team in Dunedin. This on-call role covers midnight to 7am and/or day shifts (10:30am–10pm).

You will sort, consolidate, and dispatch parcels and freight to ensure efficient delivery, working with a lively, diverse team in a safe, supportive environment. Ideal candidates are available on call, physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg, and possess strong attention to detail and local geography.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call during night and day shifts.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself and the site safe.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at Strathallan Street site.
• Support couriers to ensure on-time delivery for customers.
• Maintain accuracy and safety at the Dunedin site and when handling goods.

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Strathallan Street branch, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa. Our On Call employees are a vital part of our business. You can be called on to cover staff sickness, leave or to assist us with our peak delivery periods.
