Job summary

NZ Post is seeking an on-call Processing Officer for the New Plymouth area. The role operates between 12:00 AM and 5:30 AM, Monday to Saturday, at Smart Road, New Plymouth. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight to prepare them for delivery by our couriers.

On-call work supports illness, leave, and peak periods, offering balance between work and lifestyle. You will receive $26.75 per hour plus a night shift allowance of $3.21 per hour for eligible hours.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call hours, as and when required (Depot operates Monday-Saturday, covering AM shifts 12AM - 5.30AM)
• Flexibility to start earlier or finish later when required during peak times
• Reliable transport to get to work on time
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role – can you lift up to 25kgs?
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

On Call - work as and when required between 12AM - 5.30AM Monday to Saturday. Location : Smart Road, New Plymouth. $26.75 per hour + night shift allowance ($3.21 per hour between 8pm and 6am).
