Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Processing Officer in Whakatane to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight for our courier network. The role is part-time (15 hours per week) with a fixed term until 12 February 2027.

You will work Monday to Friday 14:30–17:30, lifting up to 25 kg as needed, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation within a government-owned agency.

Qualifications

• Be available to work Mon-Fri 14:30–17:30, fixed-term to 12 Feb 2027.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role (lift up to 25kg).
• Eye for detail and good geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at our Whakatane branch.
• Support our couriers to deliver parcels efficiently.
• Contribute to the growth and prosperity of New Zealand.
