Job summary

OceanaGold invites a student pursuing a Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance to join our Waihi operation as an intern in the Commercial team. The role runs from mid‑November to mid‑February, with a 9‑day fortnight roster and 40.5 hours per week, on site at Waihi.

You’ll gain practical experience on diverse projects, participate in team activities, and present learnings to Site Management at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• Full Class 1 Drivers licence (manual preferred).
• Unrestricted New Zealand working rights.
• Available mid-Nov 2026 through to mid-Feb 2027.
• Based at Waihi Operation, NZ.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience on diverse projects assigned by Commercial team managers.
• Participate in group activities with other interns to understand mining processes.
• Present experiences and learnings to Site Management at internship conclusion.
• Work on maintenance and budget related to company residential and commercial rental properties.
