Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation invites a motivated student to join our Waihi Operation in New Zealand as a paid intern in the Commercial team. The program runs mid-November 2026 through mid-February 2027, with a 9-day fortnight and 40.5 hours per week on-site.

You will work on diverse projects, gain real-world experience in mining economics, budgeting, and property data, and present learnings to Site Management at program end. Accommodation nearby is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• Available mid-November 2026 to mid-February 2027.
• Unrestricted New Zealand working rights.
• Full Class 1 drivers licence (manual preferred).
• Strong academic performance and passion for your field.

Job Description

Are you atalented and ambitious student studying towards aBachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance and looking to gain practical experience in your field of study? We have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Commercial team at OceanaGold working at our Waihioperation.

This paid internship opportunity will run approximately from mid-November through to mid-February (dependent on exam timetable of the successful applicant) working with our talented Commercial team on-site at Waihi. The hours of work are 7 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, working a 9 ‑day fortnight roster ( 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off) 40 . 5 hrs per week. Take along weekend every second week to explore the stunningCoromandel!

What will you bedoing?

• Gaining practical experience in your chosen field of study by working on diverse projects assigned by department managers and teammembers.
• Participating in various group activities and projects with other Interns, providing you with awell-rounded knowledge of the miningprocess.
• Presenting your experiences and key learnings to the Site Management Team at the conclusion of the internship, showcasing your growth and achievements.

Specific project work willinvolve:

• Work with the property team to identify all known maintenance work required for company residential and commercial rental buildings utilising gap analysis of any work required to meet our obligations under the Residential TenanciesAct.
• Cost maintenance work and budgeting, phased with consideration to deliver on realistic timeframes.
• Set up amodel to allocate rates paid to individuals properties including active operationsites.
• Capture the condition and rates data in adatabase.

Key responsibilities willinclude:

• Completed list of maintenance works per property as agreed with the propertyteam.
• Completion of abudget to address the property maintenance works.
• Asset President approval of the recommended maintenance budget.
• Completion of adatabase capturing the abovedata.
