GY Construction Limited in Auckland seeks an energetic, commercially driven SME Business Development Manager to grow our presence in the New Zealand small and medium-sized business market. The role focuses on acquiring new SME customers and developing long-term merchant relationships across sectors such as restaurants, cafés, retail stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and other service businesses.

• Experience in business development, B2B sales, merchant services, payments, POS, EFTPOS, telecommunications or technology is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confident approaching business owners and developing new relationships.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales targets.
• Good understanding of the New Zealand SME market.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team.
• A valid New Zealand driver's licence is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and acquire new SME customers across Auckland and wider New Zealand.
• Promote our POS, EFTPOS, payment and digital business solutions.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations and merchant visits.
• Develop relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through to onboarding.
• Develop referral and strategic partnership channels.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with operations, technology and customer-support teams.
• Achieve agreed customer acquisition and revenue targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing SME customers and identify opportunities for further growth.
