Job summary

Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers is expanding into New Zealand and seeks a hands-on Business Development / Operations Manager to lead the launch from Auckland or Wellington. The role blends business development with operations leadership, building supplier networks, contracting, and establishing NZ infrastructure.

You’ll manage logistics, secure yard facilities, and coordinate a contractor network to grow revenue and market presence with autonomy reporting to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, logistics, field services, equipment hire, transport, refrigeration, construction or a related industry.
• A proven track record in business development, sales or account management.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent relationship building and communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and make decisions with confidence.
• A genuine entrepreneurial mindset and passion for growth.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across New Zealand.
• Building relationships with organisations that rely on refrigeration and freezing solutions.
• Prospecting, presenting and demonstrating the benefits of Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers product offering.
• Developing market intelligence and competitor insights.
• Converting opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.
• Growing market share and establishing Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers as a preferred supplier in the New Zealand market.
• Establishing and managing New Zealand operational infrastructure.
• Securing and managing a suitable operational yard facility.
• Building and coordinating a contractor network including transport providers, refrigeration technicians and maintenance contractors.
• Managing logistics, delivery, installation and collection of coolroom units.
• Coordinating repairs, maintenance and refurbishment activities.
• Monitoring quality, safety and service standards across all operational activities.
• In your first 12 months, establish operational presence, secure yard, build contractor network, deliver growth in fleet utilisation and market share.
