Job summary

IDEA Services is seeking a Support Worker to assist adults with intellectual disabilities, providing night-time care, risk management, and personal support in clients’ homes or facilities. Previous disability or aged care experience is preferred; a positive attitude and flexible shifts are essential.

Applicants must have a full New Zealand work rights and a valid driver’s license, with training support offered to complete Level 2–4 Health and Wellbeing qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or personal care for adults.
• Ability to work night shifts and sleepovers.
• Must have legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Full NZ driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with complex needs and provide night-time care.
• Manage risk and ensure safety for clients and staff.
• Provide individual care and daily living assistance during shifts.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication with the care team.
