Job summary

IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to live independently and be part of their communities. You will assist clients at home, managing risks and delivering person-centered care through night shifts.

Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but a flexible, open-minded attitude and good communication are valued. A full NZ driver’s licence and right to work in NZ are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or personal care for adults.
• Calm nature and confidence with challenging behaviours.
• Full NZ driver's license and right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with intellectual disabilities in their own homes.
• Manage risk and ensure safety during night shifts.
• Provide individual care and respond to needs as they arise.
