Job summary

IDEA Services is seeking a dedicated Night Support Worker in New Zealand to assist adults with intellectual disabilities in their own homes, delivering compassionate overnight care. You will manage risks, ensure safety, and provide personalised support to help clients achieve their goals.

Experience is preferred but an open, caring attitude and flexibility for shifts including weekends and sleepovers are essential. A full NZ driver's license and comfort with using tech devices are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Preferably experience in caregiving or personal care for adults.
• Calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
• Availability for flexible shifts including weekends and sleepovers.
• Physically fit to provide necessary support and hold a full NZ driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with intellectual disabilities, manage risk and ensure safety.
• Provide individual care and support throughout the night.
• Assist clients to engage in daily activities and work toward goals.
