Job summary

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is seeking a Night Manager to lead guest experiences, drive team performance, and manage nightly operations. You will coordinate night audit activities, resolve guest issues, and ensure service standards across the property.

The role requires hospitality management qualifications, hotel experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills, with availability for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in hospitality management or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in similar role in a hotel setting.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, reasoning and motivational skills.
• Long periods of standing in the front desk areas and occasional lifting of heavy items.
• Working knowledge of hotel property management systems like Opera beneficial.
• Ability to work nights and weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Leading the way – managing guest experiences, team performance and hotel operations
• Prioritising workload and ensuring your team deliver authentic, memorable experiences
• Developing your team’s skills to drive results that positively impact on hotel performance
• Having authentic conversations with guests to resolve issues, queries or concerns
• Overseeing Night Audit and Porter duties
• Being the first point of contact for any critical emergency situations
