Job summary

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, is seeking a Conference & Events Coordinator to manage bookings, build client relationships and coordinate unforgettable events, meetings and conferences.

You will support the Senior Conference & Events Manager, secure business from quotes, plan meetings, coordinate with hotel operations and liaise with clients before, during and after each event.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating meetings and events in hotels or sales roles.
• Strong client-focused service and engagement.
• Proactive problem-solving and service recovery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them.
• Plan meetings, events and conduct pre-event and post-event meetings with clients and operational departments.
• Arrange meeting details and events including room setups and billing instructions.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with your team and other departments.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
