Job summary

Mercure Queenstown Resort is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to manage overnight hotel operations, balancing accounts and ensuring seamless guest service. You will handle front desk duties, oversee security, and support the overnight team while maintaining accurate records and upholding hotel policies.

The role requires experience in Front Office or Night Audit, strong cash handling skills, and familiarity with Opera/PMS. A hospitality qualification and First Aid training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office, Night Audit, Reception or a similar hotel role.
• Overnight work experience or independent decision making preferred.
• Experience with hotel PMS systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Understanding of cash handling, financial transactions and basic reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Execute overnight Night Audit, balance transactions, review room rates and revenues.
• Process cash, credit card and other transactions per procedures.
• Prepare daily reports, statistics and Accounts Receivable billings.
• Operate the hotel PMS and complete end-of-day processes.
• Assist with Front Office duties including check-ins/check-outs and reservations.
• Provide overnight guest services, including wake-up calls and room service.
