Job summary

ECL Group is seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager to lead and transform our national scheduling function. You will direct a team of schedulers, align with Operations and Service Managers, and ensure efficient deployment of field technicians across New Zealand.

This role focuses on driving operational improvements, optimising resource utilisation, and implementing smarter scheduling processes to support reliable service nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading and developing scheduling teams.
  • Proven ability to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in field services or utilities is beneficial.
  • Strong data analytics and reporting capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and support a high-performing Scheduling Team.
  • Transition from manual scheduling to scheduling tools.
  • Oversee allocation of field technicians to maximise productivity.
  • Monitor workloads and service delivery across units.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Service Managers and Project Teams.
  • Manage escalations and customer issues.
  • Analyse scheduling data to identify trends and improvements.
  • Champion continuous improvement for efficiency.
  • Maintain relationships with customers, technicians and stakeholders.
  • Foster safety, collaboration, accountability and customer focus.
