Placements24 is seeking a competent Civil Engineer to design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects in Queenstown. You will plan, design, and supervise water, sanitation, and road systems to meet community needs and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate with stakeholders and local government to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with a focus on public service and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of municipal engineering or infrastructure development.
• Experience with design of water, sanitation, and road systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software and relevant engineering design tools.
• Strong understanding of South African municipal engineering standards and practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the implementation of municipal civil infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents for public works.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to design plans and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
