Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support major municipal projects in Queenstown with a hybrid work setup. You will design, plan and implement electrical systems for public utilities and transportation, ensuring compliance with local standards and robust reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, with strong project management, stakeholder liaison and proficiency in electrical design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in public infrastructure or municipal projects.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations for infrastructure development.
• Experience with project management, contract administration and stakeholder liaison.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for infrastructure projects, including street lighting and public transport electrification.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings and tender documents.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and risk analyses.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, ensuring standards compliance.
• Coordinate with government authorities, contractors and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during project execution.
