Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Incorporated Engineer is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of municipal infrastructure design and project management experience.
• Familiarity with municipal engineering standards, by-laws, and procurement processes.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement municipal civil engineering projects (water reticulation, sewer, road upgrades).
• Oversee construction phase, ensure compliance with specs, quality standards, and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and condition assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Prepare project documentation, including tender documents, cost estimates, and progress reports.
• Liaise with municipal departments, consultants, and contractors to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
• Ensure all projects comply with legislation, environmental regulations, and standards.
