Job summary

NZTA Waka Kotahi is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support the Support Services Manager in maintaining high-standard corporate office facilities. You will manage contractor relationships, oversee maintenance, and ensure health, safety and security compliance across multiple sites in the upper North Island, with regular travel between offices.

You will work with Corporate Property, Health Safety & Wellbeing, and Security teams to oversee maintenance works, development projects and office

Qualifications

• Understanding of building maintenance and office operations.
• Experience in facilities, property, or a related field.
• Experience planning office moves or minor fit-outs is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety, and security practices related to office environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and administration tasks.
• Clean NZ driver’s licence and ability to travel between regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain office environments to a high standard.
• Manage contractors, service providers and suppliers, overseeing activities and standards.
• Initiate orders, purchasing or quotes for work or supplies and confirm completion.
• Develop facilities management plans and schedules for sites.
• Provide accurate reporting on facilities-related metrics.
• Collaborate with Corporate Property and build relationships with staff, subtenants and occupants.
• Support other workplace functions as required.
