Job summary

Port Otago is seeking a Planning Administrator for a 12-month fixed term role based at Port Chalmers (Dunedin). The role supports Marine & Infrastructure and Operations teams with forecasting, rostering, and planning across weekend shifts in a 24/7 port environment.

You will become a system expert for workforce planning, contribute improvements, and provide admin support to the Marine Team while coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely services for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience using forecasting methods and database systems.
• Ability to forecast and plan for weekend coverage in a 24/7 operation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Use electronic database systems to forecast Marine resources.
• Schedule workforce to deliver timely services to customers.
• Assist Marine & Infrastructure team with roster issues and system improvements.
• Provide admin support and training on planning systems.
• Support Operations team with weekend forecasts and vessel plan adjustments.
