Job summary

PlaceMakers Auckland Frame & Truss team is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to build frames and trusses safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will work as part of a close-knit team, reading plans, operating tools, and contributing to quality you can be proud of.

This permanent full-time role offers training and support to help you succeed, with 40 hours per week at our Auckland site. We welcome applicants from manufacturing, construction, or those starting a career in the building industry,

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or hands-on environments.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Comfort reading plans and measurements.
• Good physical fitness for manual tasks.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Frame & Truss experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture frames and trusses to specification.
• Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Read plans and measurements accurately.
• Maintain high-quality standards and minimising rework.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Support stock control and material management.
• Work collaboratively to achieve production targets.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team, someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrives in a team environment.

The Role

This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you'll be building frames and trusses safely, accurately, and efficiently to keep our customers' projects moving. You'll work as part of a close-knit team, operating tools and machinery, reading plans and measurements, and ensuring products are built right first time.

Whether you're experienced in manufacturing, construction, or looking to start a career in the building industry, we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Manufacturing frames and trusses to specification
• Operating tools and machinery safely and efficiently
• Reading plans and measurements accurately
• Maintaining high-quality standards and minimising rework
• Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
• Supporting stock control and material management
• Working collaboratively to achieve production targets
• Contributing to a strong health and safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a permanent full-time working 40 hours per week, role based at PlaceMakers Auckland Frame & Truss.

About You

Previous Frame & Truss experience is advantageous, but not essential. If you've got the right attitude and willingness to learn, we'll provide training to help you develop your skills.
