Job summary

Hirestaff is seeking Frame & Truss Assembly Workers to join a busy Rolleston factory. You will read plans, measure and cut timber, operate cutting machinery and nail guns, and assemble frames and trusses to exact specifications.

You will be part of a hands-on team, maintain safety, and adapt to training. Experience in frame and truss manufacturing or carpentry is preferred; willingness to learn and pass a pre-employment drug test is required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading building plans or technical drawings.
• Experience using power tools, hand tools and nail guns.
• Good measuring, cutting and assembly skills.
• Comfortable working around machinery and basic computer systems.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual timber work.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Frame & Truss Assembly Workers - Rolleston

We're looking for Frame & Truss Assembly Workers to join our client's busy factory in Rolleston. You'll be working on pre-nail frames and trusses, producing building components to plan and delivery specifications for building customers. You'll be part of a hands-on production team, using a combination of machinery and hand tools to measure, cut and assemble timber accurately.

What you'll be doing

• Reading and working from building plans, drawings and cutting lists


• Measuring and cutting timber accurately


• Operating automated cutting machinery and manual saws


• Building frames and trusses using nail guns, hand tools and machinery


• Checking finished products are accurate and meet specifications


• Working safely as part of a busy production team


• Handling timber and materials throughout the day

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in frame and truss manufacturing, building, framing or a similar hands-on environment. We're also happy to consider people with strong transferable hammer-hand or carpentry skills.

You'll need:
