Job summary

PlaceMakers Auckland Frame & Truss is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operator to safely build frames and trusses as part of a close-knit team. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours/week) involves reading plans, operating tools and machinery, and ensuring first-time quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or a similar hands-on environment.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Confidence working with measurements, plans, and tools.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to perform manual tasks.

• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing frames and trusses to specification.
• Operating tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Reading plans and measurements accurately.
• Maintaining high-quality standards and minimising rework.
• Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Supporting stock control and material management.
• Working collaboratively to achieve production targets.
• Contributing to a strong health and safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
