Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts – Taupo, North Island is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep the hotel in excellent condition. The role covers general repairs, painting, and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, conference facilities, and outdoor spaces.

You will work as part of a small team, use your initiative, and see the direct impact of your work. Ideal candidates have experience in maintenance or a trade, strong finishing skills, a practical problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Painting, patching, plastering and finishing work.
• Attend to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Complete maintenance work in guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Identify maintenance issues early.
• Assist with room refurbishment and hotel improvement projects.
• Maintain outdoor areas, pathways, signage and guest facilities.
• Support planned maintenance and larger projects.
• Record completed work and report outstanding issues.
• Keep tools, equipment and workshop clean and organized.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts – Taupo, North Island

This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. Working alongside our small Maintenance team, you'll help keep our hotel in excellent condition by carrying out general repairs, preventative maintenance, painting, room maintenance and property improvement work. You'll work throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, conference facilities, restaurant areas and outdoor spaces. You'll also have the opportunity to work independently, use your initiative and see the direct results of your work.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance
• Painting, patching, plastering and finishing work
• Attending to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments
• Completing maintenance work in guest bedrooms and bathrooms
