Wairakei Resort Taupō is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Engineering team on a part-time, fixed-term contract through to 1 April 2027. This hands-on role covers maintenance across accommodation, public spaces, and guest facilities.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will perform repairs, painting, and routine inspections, working independently or with the team to keep facilities at a high standard for guests and staff.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring Wairakei Resort Taupō is presented to the highest standard for our guests. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will carry out a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and painting tasks across our accommodation, public areas, and resort facilities.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work both independently and as part of a supportive team, helping maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
