Job summary

ColorCote, part of Fletcher Building, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering team in Auckland to drive safe, reliable plant performance and maintain efficient maintenance schedules.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, optimise schedules, and work with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to minimise downtime and sustain operations at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning or engineering environment.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• CMMS experience or familiarity with maintenance systems.
• Sound understanding of health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Prioritise breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain CMMS data (MEX), asset registers, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate contractors and manage maintenance workflows.
• Support EHS compliance, audits, and contractor inductions, permit to work issuing.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and control maintenance spend.
• Drive reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• To co-ordinate daily activities of the Maintenance Fitters to support the maintenance plan.

About the Role

This is a hands-on planning role where you’ll coordinate maintenance activities, optimise schedules, and support continuous improvement across our site. You’ll work closely with Engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to minimise downtime and keep operations running at their best.
