Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a strategic thinker to help shape the future of its Mail business and support enterprise and Board-level decisions. You’ll work with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Enterprise Strategy, Network, Regulatory and Digital & Technology to translate strategy into clear roadmaps and actionable recommendations.

You’ll bring structure to complexity, connect diverse perspectives, and influence outcomes in a dynamic environment focused on value creation for NZ Post.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop executive-quality presentations, Board papers and briefing materials to support strategic decisions.
• Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, milestones, dependencies and priorities.
• Support evaluation of strategic options, opportunities, risks and trade-offs.
• Monitor customer, market, industry and regulatory trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Synthesize complex information from multiple stakeholders into clear recommendations and insights.
• Coordinate inputs across Commercial, Finance, Enterprise Strategy, Network, Regulatory and Technology to build an aligned enterprise view.
• Support governance forums and maintain visibility of key decisions, dependencies, risks and actions.
• Track progress against strategic priorities and maintain focus on agreed outcomes and benefits.

As customer needs, technology and market dynamics continue to evolve, we're making important strategic choices about the future of our Mail and Datam businesses. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside senior leaders to help shape that future, providing the clarity, insight and strategic direction needed to support enterprise and Board-level decision-making.

You’ll partner closely with the GM Mail Transition and senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Enterprise Strategy, Network, Regulatory and Digital & Technology teams. You’ll help translate strategic direction into clear roadmaps, compelling executive narratives and actionable recommendations that support long-term value creation for NZ Post.

This is not a traditional programme management role. It’s a role for someone who can bring structure to complexity, connect the dots across multiple perspectives, and turn ambiguity into clear recommendations and priorities.
