Job summary

Rooney Earthmoving Ltd, a family‑owned civil construction company in the South Island, is recruiting Experienced Civil Machine Operators to join our Waimate and North Otago team. We prioritise health and safety, reliability and high‑quality workmanship on every project.

You will work on roading construction and maintenance, subdivision/siteworks and forestry roading projects, operating machines such as motor scrapers.

Qualifications

• Experience in roading construction and maintenance.
• Subdivision and commercial siteworks experience preferred.
• Forestry roading construction and maintenance experience is advantageous.
• Experience operating motor scrapers is required or highly regarded.
• GPS machine control and final trim experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate civil construction machinery on roading projects and siteworks.
• Contribute to safety, quality workmanship and productivity on site.
• Maintain equipment, report issues and work independently or in a team as required.

Due to our current workload and strong forward work program, we are recruiting Experienced Civil Machine Operators to join our Waimate and North Otago team.
