Job summary

OneStaff is seeking experienced Machine Operators for a well-established civil contractor in New Zealand. You will operate rollers and other roading machinery, helping deliver major road projects with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role offers consistent work through the roading season, with opportunities for long-term employment and career progression within a reputable civil contractor and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery within civil or roading projects.
• Roller operating experience preferred.
• Current Class 2 Driver Licence preferred.
• Valid WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) preferred.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate rollers and other civil machinery to support road projects.
• Assist with road construction and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report issues.
• Support crews with site tasks while following safety procedures.

About the Role

You'll be working on a variety of roading and civil projects, operating machinery safely and efficiently while supporting crews to deliver high-quality results.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating machinery within the civil or roading industry
• Roller operating experience preferred
• Current Class 2 Driver Licence preferred
• Valid WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers)
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks where required
