Job summary

Alignz Recruitment in Tauranga is seeking a Civil Machine Operator to operate heavy machinery (5T–20T) on civil projects across the Bay of Plenty. You will join a tight-knit crew and help deliver infrastructure, commercial and subdivision works on-site.

You should have 2+ years of machinery operation in civil construction, a Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 + WTR an added bonus), be physically fit, and committed to safety and teamwork. GPS machine control is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating machinery in civil construction.
• Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 + WTR endorsements a bonus).
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual work.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and teamwork.
• GPS machine control experience is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate diggers, rollers and/or graders on civil sites.
• Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Carry out earthmoving, trenching, compacting and site prep with various attachments.
• Work with site crew to maintain workflow and safety around other machinery.
