Rosewood Kauri Cliffs in Northland invites a seasoned Duty Manager to lead our front office team within a luxury lodge setting. You will oversee daily operations, ensure guest service excellence, and model calm, professional leadership.

The role requires 5+ years in hospitality leadership, a full driver’s license, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences. You’ll work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for development and staff perks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in hospitality operations or leadership roles.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Passion for delivering luxury guest experiences.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Full, valid driver’s licence.
• Strong understanding of food & beverage operations and service standards.
• High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing front-of-house operations and ensuring exceptional guest service standards.
• Welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, and enhancing their overall lodge experience.
• Supporting and leading Food & Beverage service operations, including dining and room service.
• Managing guest requests, feedback, and service recovery with professionalism and care.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management of team members.
• Ensuring effective communication between departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Supporting roster management, reporting, stock control, and operational administration.
• Leading evening service in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Building positive relationships with guests, suppliers, and team members across the lodge.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational compliance.
• Representing the Lodge Management team and making sound operational decisions when required.
