Job summary

Rockgas, New Zealand's leading LPG supplier, seeks a reliable delivery driver in Auckland. You will move LPG cylinders, load them to trucks, and deliver to customers; after training you’ll work in sole charge while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 1 full licence or Class 2 heavy vehicle licence; Dangerous Goods endorsement would be an advantage but training may be provided.
• Proven experience driving a truck, preferably in a delivery role.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Very good level of physical fitness to move LPG cylinders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, integrity and adaptability.
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and in all weather conditions.
• Medical check including drug and alcohol test and criminal record check.

Job Description

You will often work in a sole charge capacity (after an initial training period) and require a full Class 1 or 2 license. It's pretty physical as you'll be moving a lot of LPG cylinders, loading and unloading them on to trucks. We're big on health and safety here at Rockgas, so you'll need to do all this while maintaining a safe work environment.

While it's great if you've already got your Class 2 license (even as a learner), we are also keen to hear from you if you have a full Class 1 and want to get into driving as a career. We will support you to get your Class 2 license and make sure you get lots of driving experience.
