Job summary

Rockgas is recruiting for an LPG delivery driver to operate across Dunedin and Otago. The role involves loading and unloading cylinders, driving a delivery vehicle, and maintaining a safe work environment through strict health and safety practices.

You will need a full Class 2 licence, delivery experience or strong customer service focus, good physical fitness, and solid teamwork and communication skills. The role offers an hourly rate with benefits and requires flexibility for after-hours work

Qualifications

• To be successful in securing this role you’ll need a Full Class 2 licence.
• Delivery experience and a strong customer service focus are preferred.
• You must be physically fit to move LPG cylinders and operate safely.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential for this role.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and in all weather conditions is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver LPG across the wider Dunedin/Otago area.

Job Description

He aha tau mahi - What you will do:

You will often work in a sole charge capacity (after an initial training period) and will drive and deliver across the wider Dunedin/Otago area. It's a pretty physical job as you'll be moving a lot of LPG cylinders, loading and unloading them on to trucks. We're big on health and safety here at Rockgas, so you'll need to do all this while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

To be successful in securing this role you’ll need to have:

• A full Class 2 licence.
• Experience driving a truck preferably in a delivery role would be an advantage
• A strong customer service focus
• A very good level of physical fitness in order to move LPG cylinders
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to working as part of a team
• A strong work ethic, integrity and adaptability
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and in all weather conditions

The recruitment process for this role involves a medical check which includes a drug and alcohol test, and a criminal record check.
